All of our lace is made here in the U S, Liechtenstein and France.

Most of our lace is made of 100% polyester. Our ring Lace is 1/3 cotton and 2/3 polyester.

All of our Lace is machine washable, cold water, gentle cycle, mild soap, no bleach. Do not put in the dryer. Lay flat to dry or hang back up on your windows to dry. There are various weights of our lace that are described below.

Jacquard Lace

These are the finest of all the laces and can be used by themselves of as a lace panel behind a fabric curtain. They will give you minimum coverage, unless it is a very busy pattern. When measuring your window you should order 1 ½ to 2 times the width of your window. There is also table lace in the Jacquard Lace.

Country Knit

This is our heavy weight lace and are usually in the country Victorian designs, such as the Hospitality Curtain, the Snowman Mantel, Angel Mantel etc. These patterns show up very nicely on the heavy weight country knit. They are 100% Polyester.

European Macramé Ring Lace

The Ring Lace is a very elegant lace and is made in France on a loom. The lace is 1/3 cotton and 2/3 polyester. It is only available by the foot. 1 ½ to 2 times the width of your window is recommended.

We also offer a ring lace and sheer which is a custom curtain where they use your choice of ring lace with out the rings, and attach it to a sheer panel. Click here for sample. This is a custom curtain and all orders for these curtains must be called in by phone at 1-800-242-0738.

Elegant Cotton Lace

This is a new line of curtains superbly styled with old world craftsmanship, made in the USA.

Many of these curtains are made of 70% preshrunk cotton and 30% Polyester and are machine wash, cold water, line dry or hang back on the window to dry. Some times because of the cotton content, the 84" panels tend to run a little longer. These curtain panels look great with a fabric swag or jabot as a top treatment.

Clipped Embroidery

This is a new item for us and is very very popular. The clipped embroidery is a fine gauge lace with the look of embroidery, it has depth and texture to the lace. Windsor and Floral Trellis are two of our newest styles where you can see this type of lace. Made of 100% Polyester and machine wash, cold water, lay flat to dry.

Sublimation and Appliqués

Sublimation was introduced a few years ago and is a color application that is actually a painting process. The design is permanently painted on the lace and you can find it on wall hangings, table lace and some of the lace curtains. They are machine washable and the color is permanent and will not wash out.

Appliqués you will find on our table lace and wall hangings. These are small appliqués that are permanently attached and will not come off in washing.

Sunlight and Coverage

Our
Elegant Cotton Line of Lace Curtains are part cotton and part polyester and offer a much denser pattern to allow more coverage and privacy then our 100% Polyester curtains. We also
recommend putting up a sheer French viol panel next to your window first and then your lace window treatment. If you are placing your Lace Curtains in direct sunlight and want to protect furniture and carpets we recommend a room darkening shade or a mini blind.

You will need to mount your Lace window treatment on the outside of your window if you have a shade or mini blind.

How do I properly measure a window?

When measuring for the width of your lace curtains, measure where you plan to put your rod. Tension rods are quite popular, so you would measure the inside of your window frame, if using a tension rod. Measure outside of of frame if using a conventional rod.

Length is a matter of personal taste, there is no decorating rules. One suggestion, if you choose a lace design with a lace scallop at the bottom, you should measure to the end of the glass so you see the lace scallop from the outside. Suggested fullness is 1 1/2 - 2 times the width of your window. Again fullness is a matter of personal preference.

If you are ordering a custom length curtain allow an extra 4” for rod pocket and header.

Feel free to contact us via e-mail or call us directly: 1.800.242.0738 if you need assistance. We ask that you have your window measurements when you call.

We ask that if you are ordering a cut curtain, that you be extra careful in measuring, and always round it up to the nearest foot. Cut curtains are sold by the foot or 1/2 foot, not inches. For example, if your window measures 33” wide, round up to 36” wide then figure in fullness 1 1/2 times would be 4 1/2 foot. A window 44” wide, round up to 48”, a window 56” wide round up to 60”. You're always safe with 3” to 4” extra than not enough.
